Kirin Gogo Afternoon Tea with Milk

Kirin Gogo Tea
If you love tea, Kirin’s Gogo Afternoon Tea with Milk would surely be a pleasant refresher for you. The milk is already mixed into the tea and ready to drink right out of the bottle. This tea is meant to be cold, so keep it in your fridge until youfre ready to have it. If it is hot outside, have some nice cold Gogo Tea to cool off.

At first it had a weird bite to the taste. But after a couple more sips, I came to the conclusion that it had an after taste much like a soybean milk drink. Unlike most U.S. bottled teas, Kirin uses actual tea leaves and it gives more flavor instead of the syrup U.S. variation of teas. Right away, you can taste the milk, but it is well blended into the tea. It is not that strong and one could probably gulp down the whole bottle in one swig.

I give this tea a 7.5 out of 10. If you like teas, then definitely try this one.

Kirin Fire Only One

Kirin Fire Only One
Ahh, Fire. This is a must-try for coffee fans out there. Kirin produces a wide variety of drinks. Fire Only One is one of the three different variations of Fire. This is a delicious chilled coffee beverage with a relatively strong taste with a slight amount of milk and sugar, but not enough to cover up the coffee flavor. The cans are roughly the same size as a Starbucks One Shot espresso, so you get a good-sized amount.

This drink tastes best chilled. The quality of flavor and the mixing quantities are superb. I give this beverage a 9.3 out of 10 for good taste and balance. Their commercials are quite humorous as well, being rather random and intentionally corny.

Shirakiku Ramune Soda

by Spartakips on Mar.12, 2007, under Drink, Reviews

Ramune Soda, a modern symbol of summer in Japan. This fizzy beverage is contained in an oddly-shaped codd-neck bottle. A glass marble plugs the rubber washer-like top of the bottle. The plastic part found on top when the wrapper is removed is an opening device that you use to push the marble out of the top. The two spherical dimples catch the marble when you drink.

Ramune soda can be found mostly in Asian markets, online stores, and shops that sell U.S. anime otaku oriented goods in original, melon, strawberry, orange, lychee, Blue Hawaii, and peach flavors. I myself have tasted all but the Blue Hawaii flavor. The original has almost a fizzy lemonade taste to it, and all are pretty sweet. I would have to say that the melon flavor is my personal favorite, next to the peach.

I would give this beverage an 8.4 out of 10. Excellent overall, with an uncommon design and refreshing taste. Some people may find it too sugary, but I rather enjoy having one from time to time. One of the drawbacks, I feel, is the amount. I usually finish feeling like I was just on the verge of a refreshing satisfaction, but there was too little to go all the way. It is still an excellent drink that is good as a treat once in a while.
