Welcome to a new addition to the website. It’s my new segment, “Occasional Ecchi” on Jpopular.com. It’s been rather interesting following some of the stuff popping up on dannychoo.com. In this section, I will be posting a picture of a nice ecchi picture for you to enjoy and sort of “review” the aspects of the art and character design that I particularly like.

Sometimes you need a little ecchi to help you throughout the day, week, or month. Here’s a little something for you all.

Ah, where to start? Like many young otakus out there, I’m also interested in girls. I’ve been reading around that some otaku have a liking only for 2D girls while others like the so-called “3D” girls. 2D girls are what you see above. They are usually cute and sexy and have various poses that are rather… revealing. The 3D girl is a idol from a photobook that looks just as perfect, but is an actual person. I for one like both, but for different reasons. I wouldn’t call myself a 2D only or 3D only lover. I love 2D pictures of any character almost if drawn to my liking. “3D”-wise, I would probably say that any girl that I think is attractive appeals to me. So, I’m half “normal” and half otaku in nature.

On to the picture above. I had this picture before for a while on a DVD somewhere, but I forgot where it went. I always liked this picture not only for the seductive pose and look on the face, but for the coloring and clean lines. The lighting is nice, not too bright. The choice of purple in her clothing (or lack there of) is a nice matchin color to her eyes. The smile is captivating, too. It shows just enough, but doesn’t reveal too much.

Grade: A+
