More or less, we are about reviewing any Japanese media that we come across. Whether it be anime, J-Music, TV shows, J-Drama, and Japanese movies, we will review it for you guys to read. Why would you want to read about these things? Well, if you are unsure whether you’d like to spend the money to get your favorite Japanese artist’s newest CD you can read and see if we like it first. If we do, then you can then decide if you want to buy it. I have to tell you, please look around the internet and gather as much material and reviews about that CD, DVD, or whatever before you purchase it.  It is our hope that you make an informed purchase rather than just relying solely on us.

We first launched this site on April 19, 2006. Since then, we’ve been posting reviews about new and older things. The site had gone through three stages of development since then. We first had a white and red theme layout to correspond with the Japanese flag, but then we opted for the more masculine look of gray tones with red in a website format. This layout is our latest change. We are currently powered by WordPress.

On April 30th, 2007 we officially started our K-Pop section of the website with Younha’s Password 486 PV as the special honor.

Jpopular.com has been continuously changing its look. Though content can be scarce at times, we still have many other things that you can explore. We plan on adding a member’s section later into this website. You are welcome to comment on articles and reviews on this site. Jpopular.com is also going to expand its base and perhaps do more than just music reviews, after all, that was not the original focus of this site.
